We are seeking an experienced leader with strong commercial drive and a solid experience ensuring the safety for operational employees in industries such as maritime, oil & gas and wind.

Overseeing and driving all aspects of the business, the General Manager will take responsibility for growing the top and bottom line and in doing so ensure a balance between profitability, sustainability, quality and high levels of customer service and satisfaction. The General Manager reports to the Global Head of Safety, Survival and Technical Division.

As part of a global conglomerate, the candidate will have an opportunity to perform in a global work environment and gain global exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide sound leadership and direction
• Full P&L accountability
• Growing top and bottom line by developing and expanding the existing customer portfolio, and expanding with new customers.
• Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on emerging market demands
• Provide effective leadership to the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence and commitment to safety standards.
• Develop and execute on strategy together with local management and Division Head

We are looking for

The right candidate is an experienced Manager, with a wide range of business experience; able to support, implement and sustain change and improvement – you are a self-starter with the sense of urgency required to get things done quickly and with high quality.

You are commercially oriented and operationally astute and a Leader that can demonstrate a high performing track record.

• Experience from the training/education and/or form within the oil & gas industry will be an advantage
• A passion for technology, commercial acumen and ability to deliver value through strategic business development.
• Understanding of cost control in a service business
• High ethical standards and integrity
• Experience working with headquarter and functional resources, ability to build effective relationships, solve problems, and get things done.
• Experience creating a high-trust, high-performance, team culture.
• Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills
