Opportunity:

As a Lead Capacity Planner at Maersk, you'll play a pivotal role in optimizing and managing our transportation network in our Maersk Ground Freight team. You'll work on strategic projects focused on solving specific business obstacles and inefficiencies, utilizing data-focused strategies to drive bottom-line improvements. This role offers the opportunity to work across various products at Maersk, leveraging insights and analytics to transform operations and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Profitability Transformation Initiatives: Collaborate with the team to spearhead overall profitability transformation initiatives, identifying key areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Spearhead Transformation Initiatives: Take charge of driving transformation initiatives aimed at turning around business operations, analyzing existing processes, and implementing innovative solutions to drive positive change and achieve business objectives.
  • Special Projects and Business Insights: Undertake special projects and delve into complex business problems to provide insightful analysis and recommendations to management teams, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Establish Data Landscape: Drive efforts to establish a comprehensive data landscape necessary to provide a holistic business view to business leaders. Spearhead and program manage the data transparency project, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for informed decision-making.
  • Ongoing Analytics: Conduct continuous analytics by integrating operational and financial data to identify opportunities for bottom-line improvement. Utilize analytical insights to drive operational efficiency and optimize resource utilization, contributing to enhanced profitability.
  • Create Business Page 0s: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to create Business Page 0s, providing a clear and concise overview of key business metrics and performance indicators. Ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Contribute to Reports: Play an integral role in generating Monthly Progress Reports and Quarterly Business Reports, synthesizing key findings and insights to facilitate informed decision-making and drive business growth.

What are we looking for:

  • Strong Analytical Skills: Proficiency in working with data and the ability to translate complex concepts into understandable communication.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: A commitment to making data-driven decisions and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Excellent Communication: Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse teams. Being able to speak the language of your target audience.
  • Financial Acumen: Familiarity with financial statements is preferred.
  • Strong Advisory Skills: Leveraging insights and analytics, you’ll be able to provide advice and guidance on solutions. Experience in consulting (though not mandatory), would be a plus
