A significant contributor and confident leader

In your new role as Vice President for R&D, you will be based out of our headquarters in Middelfart, Denmark.

We are looking for an experienced and innovative R&D leader with a clear strategic understanding and focus. Solid experience from hardware and software development, as well as expertise in the latest tools and technologies is a key asset. The role will be crucial in shaping our roadmap and ensuring the successful execution of R&D projects, and you will be instrumental in ensuring innovation, spearheading the development of cutting-edge products, and enhancing our technology offerings. Your leadership is characterized by engaging, empowering, and developing employees to contribute towards achieving Interacoustics’ goals; inspiring and influencing people and teams, providing clear direction, and creating a positive work environment.

Additionally, you can look forward to having an important and significant role across the Diagnostics business area, ensuring that we always deliver innovative high-quality products to the market. You will be overall responsible for deliveries and people management on our sites in Middelfart (DK), Stettin (PL), and Kuala Lumpur (MY); a group currently consisting of 150 employees. Besides developing the group, a key part of the responsibility is identifying and encouraging innovation projects that can bridge market demands to a competitive roadmap.

You will report to the CEO & President of Interacoustics and be a member of the leadership team in Interacoustics.

As we are working in a global set up, you should work effortlessly in English on all levels. Travelling is a part of the job, and you can expect app. 50 days travel annually.

Responsibilities/Key Success Factors

· In collaboration with the Interacoustics/Global Diagnostics leadership teams, be the main responsible in developing and drive a forward-thinking R&D strategy that aligns with the strategic goals of both Interacoustics and Global Diagnostics.

· Efficiently deliver and maintain a technologically advanced and cost competitive roadmap, meeting key targets on timelines, meeting budget and quality targets.

· Build a culture of engagement, innovation, and excellence within the R&D team, using the latest relevant tools and technologies within both hardware and software.

· Enforce quality standards and processes to ensure product reliability.

· Collaborate and liaise with cross-functional departments across Interacoustics and Global Diagnostics to ensure an efficient product life cycle.

· Actively engage with customers and partners to stay attuned to market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications

· Relevant educational background, MS Engineering, Computer Science or similar.

· Strategic thinking with the ability to create innovation and adapt to market changes.

· Experience with platform development projects to drive cost, differentiation, and speed to market.

· Proven leadership skills, team building competencies, as well as good collaboration and communication skills.

· Experience in working with downstream stakeholders of R&D, i.e., Operations, Product Management, Commercial.

· A relevant documented history of hardware, firmware, and software development including advanced project management in terms of leadership, delivery, and budgeting.

· Comprehensive knowledge of common R&D development models like stage-gate, agile etc.
