We offer

A super exciting role in Maersk Finance Technology as a Senior Finance Business Partner. You will be working closely with Cloud Onboarding, Data Center and Integration Engineering functions, supporting them and challenging them in their forecast and ensuring they have the necessary financial transparency and insights to make the right decisions.

The combined portfolio is around 150mUSD for which you will be the responsible Senior Finance Business Partner.

You will be based in Copenhagen in a dedicated and fun team.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will be to drive value creation by applying a challenger mindset and problem solving attitude while also working very closely with your stakeholders.

One of the main tasks will be to build effective relationship with function heads and in all aspects behave as a value adding trusted finance business partner.

You will lead the financial planning processes in close collaboration with the Cloud Engineering, Data Center and Integration Engineering functions.

Other areas of responsibility:

  • Provide financial support and guidance in project business cases and total cost of ownership evaluations
  • Support optimisation initiatives, ensuring financial transparency and accountability through direct and show-back reporting, ensuring that risks/opportunities are understood and their impacts forecasted and tracked
  • Application decommissioning - working with EA/modernisation functions and help them understand the true financial impact from planned/executed decoms
  • Produce insightful variance analysis. Bring transparency to risks and opportunities faced by the function and make recommendations for mitigating actions
  • Partner with offshore accounting and reporting team on month end including financial controlling, monitoring IT transactions (IT services & assets) to ensure alignment with IT accounting key data structure, accruals and maintain efficient financial data
  • By understanding cost drivers and business requirements of technology services, collaborate to develop new cost saving opportunities and support in implantation
  • Challenge unjustified spend and unrealistic forecast by understanding business needs and link to overall technology strategy
  • Review, challenge and approve contract and purchase order requests – validating compliance to budget, contracting policy and cost versus benefit/risk
  • Drive projects and process improvement in support of Technology Finance objectives including standardisation, automation, offshoring and unbiased business decisions.
  • Work on assigned cross functional projects for optimizing the overall technology cost base

Who we are looking for:

The ideal candidate has strong finance partner experience, with proven track record and ability to understand the business while still drive a strong finance agenda.

You have solid experience with financial planning/budget cycle/forecasting and business case evaluation.

Experience from technology finance and knowledge of cloud management practices are desirable.

Furthermore you:

  • Are a focused and proactive self-starting individual who is able to deliver consistent results in an ambiguous environment.
  • Have the ability to create collaborative and productive working relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Have great attention to detail and thrive with being one step ahead
  • Curious of the world of technology
  • Proficient with SAP, excel, PowerPoint, SAP analytics cloud or similar
