Business Development Manager, Conaxess Trade

Are you ready to play a key role in developing Conaxess Trade’s Nordic strategy for new businesses and portfolios to drive Conaxess’ growth?

The new Business Development Manager will be a key player in the dedicated Business Development team at Conaxess Trade’s office in Copenhagen. As a Business Development Manager, you will be a central figure in driving new business in Denmark, together with the rest of the Nordic New Business team. The team is driven by a determination to create profitable synergies according to local strategies and in close cooperation with the local Commercial Management team. In this role, your focus will be on analyzing, building, selling and negotiating business cases based on strategic insights and excellent commercial understanding. Therefore, you should be eager to attract new brands to Conaxess Trade and develop their business model and the services they offer.

You will report to the Managing Director in Denmark and to the Business Development Director and be a part of the Nordic Business Development team. You will work across all categories in a team that is very determined and ambitious in its approach to developing Conaxess’ business and differentiating its business model in the market.

Key tasks & Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Business Development function is to drive revenue growth through new business acquisitions. Conaxess Trade invests in growth by working with a dedicated team for new business acquisitions, distinct from daily operations, with a clear ambition to focus 100% on establishing new partnerships. This includes everything from identifying leads, actively approaching new partners with solid business cases that showcase how Conaxess Trade will improve the business of potential new partners, creating valuable for Conaxess Trade. You will be responsible for, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the successful implementation of new businesses into the organization.

In this process, you will work closely with local teams and at the rest of the Nordic business development team to ensure:

  • Utilization of commercial insights to identify new business opportunities.
  • Delivery of detailed and accurately calculated business cases with clear recommendations, in close collaboration with commercial backup resources (e.g., Supply Planning, Business Controlling, Legal partner).
  • Executing approved business cases.
  • Effective internal communication about new business projects.

To succeed in the position, you must deliver on the following

  • Contribute to achieving the annual new business goals defined in the company’s budgets.
  • Identification and Realization of new business leads to contracts.
  • Drive new business cases across the Conaxess Trade Group.

Background & qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a consulting background with experience in retail, FMCG, and/or market analysis and ideally has worked with both sales and marketing. You are fluent in written and spoken English and Danish. Additionally, you have strong experience working with the Microsoft Office suite. On a personal level, you are a strong and trustworthy relationship builder, goal-oriented, capable of working with both short-term and long-term horizons, and proactive. You have an analytical mindset, strategic abilities, and an excellent commercial understanding. You are passionate about business development and have a proactive, outgoing energetic attitude combined with strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
