In our Product Cybersecurity organization, we are expanding our project portfolio with exiting new projects, thus we are looking for a new Cybersecurity Systems Engineers to come and join us at our office in Søborg.

As our new Cybersecurity Systems Engineer your primary responsibility will be to drive/assist technical projects from the requirement stage all the way to product/project delivery.

The projects you will be involved in are broad in nature and our Product Cybersecurity organization are engaged in all business areas across Terma, in the sense that we are working with security related to electronics, software, and to a large extent the integration of these to become a secure product.

Role and responsibilities:

Working as a Cybersecurity System Engineer at Terma means that you will work with the entire value chain, from understanding customer requirements to integration of solutions.

You will have a wide range of interfaces and close cooperation with other project participants, counting among other Systems, Mechanical, Electronics & Software Engineers, Testers, and Project Managers for the entire project. While you work, you will gain increasing responsibility of the overall product functionality and performance.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Defining cybersecurity related user scenarios for incoming projects, where a high level of abstraction is expected to form a wholistic approach.
  • To be responsible for the verification and validation of the product security aspects in cooperation with the developing engineers and test engineers.
  • To be an important sparring partner for your colleagues in and outside the team.

You will also:

  • Influence the way our products and solutions are designed.
  • Be involved in analysis and exposure of weaknesses in IT, OT and IoT components and devices.
  • Produce quality documents as part of knowledge sharing with external stakeholders.

How to succeed in this position?

We are looking for a new colleague with competencies within the broad area of cybersecurity engineering or similar experience. We are also open for candidates with limited experience, but with a lot of drive and motivation to learn and develop within this field. Key foundational competencies include:

  • A structured analytic and data driven approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to work on different layers of technical abstraction (component and full system).
  • Ability to communicate technical information on different levels (primarily externally).
  • Ability to decompose complex security problems and systems into smaller segments.
  • A natural curiosity and ability to explore new technical areas.

We imagine that your background might look like this:

  • Preferably master/PhD. degree within Electronic, Tele/datacom, Software engineering or similar.
  • Knowledge of and worked with cybersecurity tools solutions (experience with one or more of the following disciplines is a plus: structured penetration-testing, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, SIEM, host/network forensic etc.)
  • General knowledge of protocols (C2 preferably) and wireless communication (Wi-Fi, cellular etc.) of distributed systems.
  • Experience with system development (preferably cybersecurity engineering).
  • Experience with developing systems containing both software and hardware/ Electrical components.

As a person you are great at stakeholder management, you can navigate in an interdisciplinary environment, and you thrive in taking responsibility for the progress and results of the technical part of the development. Furthermore, you are a team player and take pride in communicating actively and acting proactively towards your teammates and stakeholders.

20 days annually travel activity must be expected.

Bear in mind that candidates must be able to obtain a security clearance by the Danish Defence Intelligence Service. This entails that candidates, as a minimum, have stayed within NATO/EU for the last 7 years only interrupted by short stays abroad.
