Laboratory Technician

Kongens Lyngby

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician for our Biomimetic Membrane Development department who will enjoy working with new membrane product development for the water industry.

You will join our Deep Technology Center and as part of an international and dynamic team, you will plan and execute membrane coating experiments to reach our ambitious membrane performance goals. You will take part in executing the experiments and discuss the results with the project leading scientist. Your key tasks will be:

  • Together with the team (2 technicians and 1 scientist) you work on testing new membrane coatings to develop superior biomimetic membrane products.

  • You take part in preparing and analyzing solutions, coating experiments, and testing membranes for performance improvements.

  • As one of the main users of our coating lab, you will take a leading role in securing a safe working environment with your team.

  • You create and update test protocols, instructions, risk assessments, and Chemical APVs as preparation for new experiments.

  • Record all data and results with high accuracy with an eye for the key details.

  • Maintain good laboratory and working practices.

  • Supervise student helpers and colleagues when needed.

  • Support the digitalization of dataflows.

  • Apart from the R&D tasks, you play a role in the production work line.


Qualifications:

  • Certified laboratory technician or equivalent education.

  • Prior hands-on experience in laboratory environments and basic knowledge of chemistry and chemical analytics are expected.

  • Highly motivated by taking part in creating a dynamic and inclusive team spirit all around you.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • User level knowledge of IT systems such as Microsoft office applications and ability to learn to user level new database systems.

  • Familiar with some analytical instruments such as spectrophotometer, conductivity meter, humidity meter, and refractometer.

  • You are curious, focused, resilient, reliable, and like to see your contribution having a clear impact.


  • You enjoy working in a small, international, and cross-functional team in a dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.
