Your position

In your onshore position as Materials Technology Engineer / Welding Engineer in the Consulting Services team you will be a valuable member of a dedicated team whose mission is to support our clients to achieve success in their projects within energy infrastructure in oil & gas.

Your place of work will be either at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg or at one of our locations in Copenhagen, Poland or UK.

The position is full-time and 10 - 50 travel days per year offshore and onshore to clients should be expected.

The set-up

You will be hired as a [xxxxx] employee and work in a team dedicated to one of our national or international customers.

Your tasks & responsibilities

As a Materials Technology Engineer / Welding Engineer your tasks and responsibilities will encompass, but are not limited to:
  • Prepare and maintain Equinors Project Completion System (PCS).
  • Follow-up of suppliers and subcontractors Mechanical Completion, preservation and final delivery.
  • Attend and verify Factory Acceptance Test at suppliers’ location when required.
  • Develop and maintain system boundary drawings in accordance with the project’s Completion Strategy.
  • Develop and deliver multi-disciplinary offshore test procedures.
  • Follow-up up of Mechanical Completion offshore on site.
  • Coordinate and execute multi-discipline punch inspection in collaboration with Customer.
  • Plan, prepare and execute Commissioning & Start-up on a multi-disciplinary level.
  • Prepare for and take responsibility of final handover to Customer.
  • The tasks will depend on the specific client's needs.


Your profile & qualifications

We are looking for performance-oriented and detailed-oriented Materials Technology Engineer / Welding Engineer who is passionate about to drive and develop a process and who wants to leave their personal mark on the tasks. You have a proactive and organized approach to your work and are eager to contribute to our clients and your team's success.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
  • A bachelor ‘s or master’s degree in engineering.
  • Engineer with minimum 3 years’ experience, or practice equivalent to this within commissioning.
  • Good knowledge of working procedures in all disciplines.
  • Be able to work in team and see other disciplines` needs.
  • Experience with Mechanical Completion and Execution (commissioning) from Maintenance / Modification Projects.
  • Performance-oriented, good cooperative skills, willing to take responsibility, drive work processes and coordinate activities.
  • Fluent in Norwegian.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills at a professional level.
