Product data specialist – Group Sustainability & Master data

At Actona Group we are acceleration on our sustainable journey and to reach our ambitious goals we are looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented new colleague. Your focus will be on sustainability and product data handling within the Goods for Resale (GFR) part of the business.
About the position
As our new Product Data Specialist, you will be responsible for building, monitoring, and maintaining our product hierarchy, structuring Bill of Materials (BoM), and ensure the facilitation and implementation of customer requirements efficiently and transparently. The BoMs will be utilised for carbon footprint calculations and, you will be ensuring they contain the necessary information without unnecessary details. Part of the implementation will be customer requirements related to BoM in a user-friendly manner.
As part of being the specialist in BoM you will be conducting training sessions for our internal teams on processes and be the go-to person. You will educate your team members in the Group Sustainability & Master Data team on the options and consequences associated with BoM implementation for CO2e tracking.
Your role will have a sustainability focus and you will be part fostering a sustainable mindset internationally and participate in the choice of materials that minimises environmental impact.

Your role will also include the following responsibilities
- Build and maintain product hierarchy with precision
- Structure BoMs for accurate CO2e calculations with focus on necessary details
- Implement customer requirements related to BoM in a user-friendly manner.
- Conduct internal training sessions on BoM processes for Actona's teams.
- Serve as the go-to expert for BoM matters within the GFR part of the business.
- Ensure coherence between BoM information in ERP and PIM systems.
- Manage outsourcing tasks to China, collaborating with colleagues for daily BoM activities.
- Highlight and manage our carbon dioxide equivalent (CO2e) consumption for individual products.

- Proven experience in product data management.
- At least 3 years of experience with creating and maintain BoM.
- Deep commercial business understanding.
- Intuitive sense for Digital systems and landscapes.
- Willingness to learn about sustainability principles and practices or already are skilled within this subject.
- Capable of working collaboratively and independently.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
