The position As Environmental and Energy Professional you will be our expert within compliance and legislation on environmental and energy matters as well as an ambassador for driving environmental and sustainable sound designs in a new production facility. You will participate in project activities for investigating designs, constructability, schedule, and cost ensuring the best-in-class environmental solutions. Your main responsibility will be to:
  • Ensure compliance with requirements from national legislation as well as [xxxxx]’s management systems for environment (ISO14001) and energy (ISO50001) when designing new facilities.
  • Collaborate, guide, and support colleagues and external consultants regarding external environment, sustainability and energy aspects.
  • Collect, analyse, and report data from various sources in relation with environment and energy.
  • Establish ambitious performance targets for the external environment, collaborate with the management team to ensure they are met.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in our [xxxxx] strategy of "Circular for Zero."
  • Your primary focus will be the new production facility, but you will also be part of a network of skilled colleagues all working with sustainability, environment, and energy management across [xxxxx]'s manufacturing organization, which is spread across multiple geographical locations. Qualifications To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have:
  • A relevant master’s degree within Sustainability, External Environment, Chemical Engineer, or other relevant education.
  • Some years of experience with environmental work, ideally from pharmaceutical production or another highly regulated industry.
  • Experience with legislative requirements, ISO 14001/ISO 50001 standard, and audits/inspections.
  • Ability to negotiate the right environmental solutions while balancing the response with business needs.
  • Proficiency in English, verbal and written.
  • On a personal level, you are enthusiastic, have a strong personal drive, and enjoy working both indoors and outdoors. You are an analytical person who can set direction and motivate others. Since you will collaborate with various professionals across [xxxxx] incl. the central environmental department, you need to have good stakeholder management skills.
