About the Center for Vaccine Research (CVR)

CVR has more than 100 staff members divided between research, development and animal facilities. The center has an active translational research strategy and has successfully licensed and commercialized programs through collaboration with the industry partners.

About the Position

As a Student A[xxxxx]stant at CVR, you will engage in diverse projects focusing on clinical trial data management, bioinformatics, and research support. This position offers flexible hours tailored to accommodate your academic schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• A[xxxxx]sting in Developing and Implementing Data Anonymization Script: Craft and maintain R/Python scripts to anonymize clinical trial data, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and standards.

• A[xxxxx]sting in Data Management and Curation: perform seamless data migration, ensuring data integrity throughout the process.

• A[xxxxx]sting in Submi[xxxxx]on data to Gene Expre[xxxxx]on Omnibus (GEO): Coordinate the submi[xxxxx]on of single-cell RNA-seq data to GEO, including curate metadata from the experiment.

Your education, experience and personal qualifications:

  • You are detailed-oriented, and able to perform data management tasks and curate large datasets using scripting language.
  • Strong command of the R or Python programming language, particularly within the tidyverse or pandas framework.
  • Familiarity with shell scripting and Linux systems; experience with Computerome or UCloud is an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of bioinformatics principles and tools.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Enrollment in a relevant bachelor or master program (e.g., bioinformatics, biostatistics, biology, biotechnology, biomedicine, or related field).

About the employment

You will be employed according to the organizational agreement between The Danish Ministry of Taxation and the collective agreement between The Danish Finance Ministry and the Organisation of Public Employees (OAO-S-Fællesoverenskomsten) and the Organization between The Danish Ministry of Taxation and HK/Stat (Organisationsaftale for kontorfunktionærer, laboranter og it-medarbejdere (HK), according to chapter 6 (timelønnede) in the agreement.

The employment is limited for 6 months, with the potential for extension.

Your average weekly working hours will be 10 hours, and will be scheduled with your education and exams in mind. We expect increased workload in July and August 2024.

1st July or as mutually agreed upon.
