As Senior Legal Counsel, you will have a unique opportunity to influence the development of the legal function and related frameworks in [xxxxx] Pharmatech. You will play a vital role as legal business partner to the business, being responsible for building a strong legal function and related structures to support daily operations and enable strategic decision-making, including in the areas of supply, outsourcing, and distribution, as well as development of new collaborations with leading industry partners.
You will report to the CFO and be part of the business support organisation. As the legal business partner, you will support stakeholders spanning several departments, including drafting and negotiating global contracts, advising on best legal practices, identifying areas for improvement, and streamlining legal processes. You will work alongside talented and passionate professionals who are committed to improving the lives of patients around the world.
You will:
  • Be the legal business partner to senior stakeholders and key decision-makers with direct reference to the management.

  • Work on cases that are high-value, and broad in scope and complexity.

  • Identify critical legal issues and be innovative in suggesting solutions and formulating strategies.

  • Have a key role in supporting the business by ensuring successful outcomes in high-impact contract negotiations.

  • Develop competencies and knowledge share with legal colleagues in [xxxxx] A/S, and other colleagues across the world, leveraging all relevant competencies.

  • Drive ad hoc projects and activities focused on optimising the way we work (for example, improvements to our contracting setup), external counsel management, offshoring to our contracting colleagues in India, knowledge sharing, and training.

  • Qualifications
    To be successful in this position, it is required that you hold a law degree, have several years of post-graduation experience, likely from a law firm or an internationally-oriented company, and have a strong track record as a lawyer.
