About Femern Link Contractors


The Fehmarnbelt Connection is one of Europe's most comprehensive construction projects ever. It is run by an organization of around 2,700 people building the world’s longest immersed tunnel and the longest tunnel for both road and rail traffic. It will consist of a motorway and rail connection including an 18 km long tunnel that will allow travelling faster and safer between Scandinavia and continental Europe. It will take less than 3 hours to travel by train between Hamburg and Copenhagen (currently, 4½ hours).

FLC, Femern Link Contractors, is a joint venture of nine international construction companies with years of experience in large infrastructure projects. FLC is responsible for designing and constructing the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals, and ramps for the Femern project. The goal of the project is to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals, and ramps on time, safely, and in a sustainable and ethical manner.

The Job


For FLC, Landau Headhunting is now looking for an experienced and insightful Senior Planning Engineer to support the Planning Management team with the expertise to deliver the project in the most effective manner and with solid scheduling & reporting updates.

So, in this role, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Support the Planning Management team within the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction scope.

  • Provide solid scheduling updates, KPIs status, and effective communication.

  • Develop and implement short-term programs and planning processes.

  • Collect data and progress reporting from the site.

  • Support time location development and 4D simulations.

  • Facilitate communication between departments.


As FLC’s Senior Planning Engineer you will have a challenging and independent job in an informal and international working environment. You will be working in interdisciplinary teams, where you can always count on support from committed colleagues.

Your Skills & Experience


We expect you to have an engineering background with experience in heavy infrastructure construction and subcontracting.

Being the ideal candidate, we presume that you possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or similar.

  • 8+ years’ experience in Planning, Scheduling, and Control in EPC of Heavy Infrastructure Projects.

  • Competency with CPM scheduling software Oracle Primavera P6 EPPM.

  • Competency in Linear Planning, 4D Construction Planning, BIM, and Project Control.


  • Competency with Lean Construction approach and Last Planner System implementation.


What we expect from the candidates:


  • Experience with Site Diaries and 4 Week Look Ahead processes and digital tools.

  • Understanding of construction industry heavy equipment and subcontractor’s Management.

  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 and willingness to develop skills in Power BI.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Outstanding organizational abilities and technical mindset.

  • Fluent in English with good command of technical terms.

  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
