Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will play a crucial role in defining and scaling up maintenance and reliability practices by establishing global asset standards and standardizing maintenance processes. Reporting to the Global Director of Reliability and Maintenance, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing strategic leadership in driving standardization of assets, processes, and work methods in alignment with the overall roll-out plan. This involves collaborating closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to refine the scale-up strategy.

  • Collaborating with other functional process owners to create seamless end-to-end processes;

  • Establishing the maintenance standardization function, defining the principles, approach, frameworks, required roles (e.g., workgroups), and interfaces with other functions.

  • Ensuring standardization of new assets, and maintain asset standards throughout their lifecycle with a clear global asset standard change process, asset maintenance, and spare part replacement rules in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

  • Defining process standardization priorities for based on expected value, managing the process standardization agenda with input from standard process confirmations to ensure correct deployment of standardization priorities in collaboration with other functions. This also includes shaping process standardization content (SOPs, Work Instructions / global and local standardization boundary) and standards deployment strategy.

  • Drive continuous improvement in performance through process performance and KPI’s to achieve cost leadership and maintenance excellence


What are we looking for

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills for multi-stakeholder collaboration, team leadership, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving. They should also have a solid foundation in program management and ownership.

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A successful track record in deploying standards in large corporations.

  • Experience overseeing company-wide standardization processes.

  • Contributions to scale-up strategies involving several stakeholders

  • Preferably, experience in maintenance processes.

  • Preferably, experience in the logistics industry.

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication, presentation and facilitation skills.


The position involves approximately 20% travel in the first year, with reduced volume thereafter or as required.

You should be a self-driven innovator capable of establishing new ways of working, highly value-oriented with an understanding of global implications, and have a strong ambition for scale-up. Enthusiasm and a continuous improvement/change attitude are essential.
