Quantitative analyst for Risk Modelling

Your primary function will be to develop risk measures and valuation models, including data analysis and model development. You will gain valuable experience in modelling energy markets and learn how these models enable best in class risk management.Your areas of responsibility will include the following:
  • perform ad hoc analyses to support new business cases
  • develop quantitative analyses together with your colleagues in Risk Management
  • improve and work with the team’s quantitative model library
  • conduct model validation and back testing to ensure our models meet the highest standards

The role of the team is to support the Market Risk Management team in controlling and managing the wide range of risks in our global portfolio. To ensure proper risk management, we have the responsibility to keep our models up to date with market developments and to support the Risk Control team in analysing significant changes in the daily reports.We are a team of five skilled specialists within quantitative risk modelling. We are collaborative by nature, and we believe that no task is impossible if we put our collective minds to it. We are curious and motivated by improving our solutions, and we are not afraid of making mistakes – as long as we learn from them.As you will be working with a complex domain, we are looking for an innovative colleague who likes taking responsibility. As data analysis and model validation are a big part of your role, we also picture you as both analytical and curious.We also imagine that you:
  • have an education in mathematics, economics, finance or similar (or is about to graduate this summer)
  • have experience with Python, .NET, SQL or similar – or are keen to learn
  • are curious and interested in learning about the energy markets
  • are proficient in English – both written and verbal
