Your position
As a Strategic Buyer at Semco Maritime's head quarter in Esbjerg, you will take lead in defining and executing Procurement strategies for directs categories within the Transitional Energies Division. You will be an integral member of the Procurement department of the Transitional Energies division consisting of 10 operational and strategic buyers. Furthermore you will be part of the Global Procurement Community consisting of more than 35 colleagues.

Your tasks & responsibilities

Your role involves negotiating with suppliers, driving cost savings, and fostering a sustainable supply chain. With strong communication skills and a proactive mindset, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize the procurement performance while embodying Semco Maritime's values.

The categories you will work with, will be chosen in accordance with your experience and interests. We work with a broad range of projects related to carbon capture, oil & gas etc. and support the other divisions with external workforce.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and execute category strategies for selected areas
  • Negotiate with suppliers for favourable pricing and terms
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and offer strategic procurement assistance
  • Conduct market analysis and supplier evaluations to identify and assess potential suppliers
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance
  • Lead initiatives for a sustainable supply chain
  • Contribute to master data management efforts

Your profile & qualifications
You demonstrate ambition, drive, and self-motivation, effectively influencing your environment to accomplish overarching objectives. Ideally, you have at least 3 years of experience in Strategic Procurement and potentially experience with Category Management.

You perform well in a dynamic international corporation, along with a global mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, both internally across different functions/cultures and externally with suppliers. You're positive, proactive, and a team player, capable of working independently, with strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

  • Good Danish and English skills – both verbal and written
  • Cooperative, proactive and with a mind-set of improving business to reduce risk and add value

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time.
