The Position As Senior Corporate Counsel, you will be the lead and subject matter expert on legal matters related to our groundbreaking Transformational Prevention Unit in our headquarters. Your key responsibilities:
  • trusted legal advisor to key business stakeholders, primarily the Transformational Prevention Unit, including securing compliance with internal and external rules
  • reviewing, drafting and negotiating complex contracts and related documentation, especially in in relation to commercial partnerships but also within other areas
  • proactively driving initiatives to unlock opportunities as well as protect the company and its units, including driving training and guidance for business stakeholders
  • developing innovative legal solutions to new and challenging issues in a changing environment
  • You will be engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders both within Global Legal and across the organisation as well as external counsels and third parties. You will have independent responsibility for key tasks but also work together with the lawyers in the team and abroad. The workplaces will be in Bagsværd and Søborg, Denmark. As part of the Global Legal organisation, you would also be involved with cross-functional Global Legal projects. Additionally, various opportunities within Novo Nordisk in Denmark and abroad offer potential for further personal development. Qualifications • Law degree • 5+ years’ experience from a major law firm or in-house legal or compliance department • Pharma industry experience strongly preferred (including compliance and advisory experience regarding the promotion of pharmaceutical products) • Strong stakeholder management skills, and to take a strategic approach to risk management and prioritisation • Strategic thinking and ability to lead and set direction in a complex global stakeholder landscape • Strong communication skills and fluency in English On a personal level, you are curious and have a “can-do”, solution-oriented, and positive attitude, which enables you to establish strong professional relationships internally and externally. Attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines. About the department You will be a key part of the high performing, dynamic and international Commercial legal team consisting of 7 lawyers and 1 project manager in Denmark and 5 lawyers in Bangalore that are legal business partners to Marketing, Commercial, Public Affairs and Corporate Communication. The team is part of the Pharma Law team in Global Legal & Patents, located in Novo Nordisk’s headquarters in Bagsværd, Denmark.
