If you are skilled in MLOps and eager to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in the biotech industry, please read on. At Gubra, we are seeking an ML Engineer to join our AI Technology department. Here, you will work closely with your data scientist colleagues to deploy, monitor, and manage machine learning models in production, ensuring robust and scalable ML operations.

When joining Gubra, you will be part of a team of 11 skilled and dedicated Data Scientists that creates results in an open and welcoming environment.

State-of-the-art AI models in multiple domains

In this role, you will operate with AI models from multiple domains. The most established domains are biomedical image analysis and machine learning based design of pharmaceuticals. [xxxxx]is a leader in high throughput 3D imaging, and an early adopter of digital histopathology. We have developed our own ML/AI based peptide drug discovery platform called streaMLine. The platform has reduced drug discovery time by 50%. Now, we are ready to take the next leap forward. You will be working in close collaboration with your data scientist colleagues and with valuable input from our software development team to help scale our operations and ensuring a clear separation between development and production environments.

Further, we are currently investigating areas where generative AI can make company processes more efficient. You will be instrumental in designing and building solutions with elements from generative AI.

Your primary tasks will be to:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable deployment solutions for AI models
  • Manage model versions and ensure smooth integration into production systems
  • Build and maintain automated ML pipelines for data ingestion, preprocessing, training, validation, and deployment
  • Ensure ML models and pipelines are scalable to handle varying loads and data volumes

3+ years of proven MLOps experience

Your qualifications should include:

  • A Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven experience with MLOps, including model monitoring, reproducibility, data management, and database design
  • Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and containerization technologies
  • Motivation to learn about the biotech industry
  • Motivation to learn about medical image analysis
  • Motivation to learn about AI models for prediction of molecule properties
  • Motivation to develop competencies in generative AI
