Associate Manager

The position
As an associate manager you will lead a support team of specialized academics and technicians. Moreover, you will play a key part in developing your team and continuously improve performance as well as delivering excellent results. Apart from that, you will also have the responsibility for coordinating and prioritising resources and tasks in the team to ensure fulfilment of our ambition to obtain more capacity, higher yields and a stable production in the facility. In addition, you will be part of the management team and will work closely with your management colleagues on day-to-day operations and people management related matters.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Ensure production support and product release
Set objectives and targets to realise productivity, cost optimizations and continuous improvements; this would include prioritization and portfolio management of multiple projects of varying size and complexity
Lead the support team by developing competencies, coaching and training the employees to ensure the right composition of skills to address current and future needs
Oversee and manage day-to-day operations and long-term planning of resources
Secure quality and compliance of product and process
Assist in further development of LEAN production
Qualifications You preferably hold a master’s in engineering, biotechnology or equivalent and have at least 3 years of leadership experience
Experience with production and/or development of pharmaceutical products is crucial
Ideally, you have experience from GMP regulated areas and possess LEAN knowledge
As you will be working closely with stakeholders across our organization, your written and spoken communication skills in English and Danish – or willingness to learn - must be excellent.

To succeed you need to be able to keep a cool head and make decisions in a busy work environment, where the agenda changes frequently. You will be part of a dynamic business area in a constant development which produce Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) for patients across the world. IM1 is located in JC, Kalundborg and the department consists of 196 employees split into 6 production teams and 3 Support teams and a staff function.
