Student Assistant

Studiejob - København K

Opportunity

Here at Maersk we’re embarking on an industry-defining transformation, on a bold new direction, expanding our capabilities to become a true end-to-end logistics provider that can deliver intelligent solutions for customers around the world. Our software and technology are centre stage in creating value for our business and our customers. It’s a big moment for all of us – and we all have our part to play.

Are you a communication wizard? Do you have a talent for engaging others, and are you looking to gain experience in an international organization working with highly passionate and talented colleagues? Then this Student Assistant position in the Crew Engagement team at Maersk may be something for you.

The Opportunity:

The Crew Engagement Team is part of Marine People and Culture, within Fleet Management & Technology (FMT). In FMT we work with Maersk’s biggest asset: our vessels and the people who operate them. We have embarked on a big transformation journey which spans from decarbonization to company culture, and in the Crew Engagement team we are dedicated to recognizing and addressing the unique needs of our crew, fostering inclusion, well-being and professional growth.

We are currently looking for a Student Assistant who will be available 20 hours per week. We are looking for someone passionate about making a difference: you thrive in an international, fast-changing environment and can quickly convert tasks into actions. You are comfortable communicating to different stakeholder groups, both orally and in writing.

What we offer

Based on the Maersk campus at Hub5 in Nordhavn, you will join the Crew Engagement team, which means your closest colleagues will be the entire Marine People Strategy team and the Marine People and Culture department. You will learn a lot about life at sea, get insights to our ongoing cultural transformation, get closer to our company’s efforts to decarbonize sea transport, and work with the people designing the world’s most modern container vessels.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be supporting a number of activities and deliverables, and your main responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and execution of events, both virtual and on-site
  • Creating and editing content for Newsletters, presentations and internal social media
  • Preparing material for both trainings and communication campaigns
  • Designing and updating SharePoint sites
  • Gathering, mapping and analysing key data from various sources

To succeed in this role, we believe that you can offer:

  • Currently studying on your first year of a Master’s Degree or last year of Bachelor’s degree within Business Administration, Marketing, Communication or similar. The most important thing is that you have an interest in Engagement and Communication.
  • Excellent academic performance
  • Humble and enthusiastic approach towards handling both basic and more complex project tasks
  • A proactive person, who can take ownership, work independently, and achieve results
  • A team player, who understands the importance of stakeholders management
  • Detail-oriented, structured, an excellent writer and editor, interested in learning new technologies, and comfortable working on various digital platforms (Microsoft Office, Adobe, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Fluency in verbal and written English is a must
