We are looking for a new Student Assistant to join our Enterprise Foundation Engineering team at Saxo. This team is dedicated to building and maintaining automation services for our foundational infrastructure. Our mission is to improve the stability and recoverability of workloads running in the bank, as well as to enhance the developer experience.

In this role, you will contribute to both the development and operation of our services, aiming to shorten cycle times for both our team and our customers (Saxo DevOps teams). The Cloud Foundation team is distributed across Copenhagen, Denmark (3 members) and Amsterdam, NL (1 member). This position is based at our HQ office in Hellerup, Copenhagen, and you will report directly to our Head of Enterprise Foundation Engineering.

Your profile:

Ideally, you bring the following skills and experience:

  • BSc. in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Object Oriented Programming(Java, .NET, etc).

  • Experience with the .NET stack.

  • Knowledge of automated testing.

  • Familiarity with Node.js and React.

  • Understanding of cloud technologies is a plus.

  • Experience with source control systems like Git.


The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in cloud solutions and recognizes the importance of automation tools. You have hands-on experience (through previous student positions or academic projects) in coding with .NET and possibly some PowerShell.

As this is a Student Assistant position, you will receive the necessary tools and support to quickly get up to speed. You excel in both team settings and independent work. Highly motivated and a driven team player, you value knowledge sharing and communicate technical challenges effectively. You are eager to learn, possibly teach, and stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
