Chief Product Officer to Infomedia

In a newly established role as Chief Product Officer (CPO), we offer you an exciting opportunity to head a transformation from a project to a product driven organisation. As CPO, you will manage Infomedia’s entire product strategy and product development processes and will execute these in close collaboration with cross-functional teams including the Technology organisation. The role as CPO can be seen as an important part of Infomedia’s continuous ambitions to grow.

Infomedia is monitoring news across all media channels. It is key for companies and organisations to be at the forefront of daily news to mitigate risks and to discover opportunities. To identify and present relevant news to their customers, substantial investments have been made in acquiring proprietary technologies as well as developing unique solutions. This means that the right foundation is available for setting and executing ambitious growth Product strategies.

For the role as CPO, we are looking for a skilled technology driven Product Officer, with a strong leadership and transformational profile, who can develop strategies, capabilities, and people in a Nordic matrix environment.

You will report to the Group CEO, lead a team of Product and Project Managers, and AI Engineers, and will join the Group Management team. You will work out of Infomedia’s Nordic headquarters in central Copenhagen, and because of a matrix structure and need for collaboration, you can expect a couple of days in Oslo every second week.

Setting the strategy for and building a Product Innovation Centre

The role as CPO represents a unique opportunity to build a Product Innovation Centre that will be supported by skilled partners in Technology, Marketing, and Operations. You will oversee end-to-end product creation and the product roadmaps as well as being clear on what creates commercial value. As CPO, you will spearhead product strategies as well as execution – and you will bridge Infomedia’s strategy and a combination of product development and technological opportunities, ensuring that products meet customer needs, in the medium- and long-term.

Furthermore, and equally important, you will execute your leadership task in setting the to-be structure in Products, define what capabilities are needed, what deliverables will be, how cross-functional co-cooperation will optimally be enforced, and how new ways of working can be strengthened through change management.

During 2024, Infomedia will migrate selected technologies into one platform, which means that from end 2024 and onwards, the organisation will be ready to launch cross-Nordic products, optimise the existing product offering, and investigate trends to continue the growth. Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Product strategy and vision and develop products and roadmaps.
• Market analysis and competitive intelligence and investigate how exceptional user experiences can be created (UX / UI).
• Strategic planning and secure alignment between product strategy and Infomedia’s overall vision.
• Team leadership, business leadership, and stakeholder management.
• Performance measurement and establish KPIs and metrics to track product performance, customer satisfaction, and market success.

Perhaps, we are sometimes asking for opposites, but this is a role that allows you to use your multifaceted qualities. As a leader, you thrive in leading, motivating and developing people. You are also comfortable in your stakeholder management, and it comes naturally to you to establish close collaborative relations, where you demonstrate your unique balance between being passionate and pragmatic. On one side, you are entrepreneurial, but you also have a strong process flair. You can take an idea and scope it to a concrete product proposition and take it to commercialisation and make it scalable.

Key words about you are; curious, persistent and takes pleasure in working with ‘wicked problems’, focus on outcome and not output, and an ability to balance structure and processes with innovation and flexibility. Your professional qualifications include:

• Strong experience from a scale-up or a more well-established software company that has developed product solutions from early stage to mature / new generations.
• Deep understanding of product development methodologies, emerging technologies, and industry trends.
• Familiar with agile, lean practices, and UX/UI design principles and with a technical insight to make informed decisions and challenge a Technology organisation.
• Business understanding, and experience from analysing market data, generating financial evaluations, and making data-driven decisions.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience from leading teams in Project Management, Product Marketing, Product Management, and facilitating multidisciplinary teams.
• A B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Engineering or Technology and experience from having worked within technology as well as commercial roles.
• Fluent in English, and able to work out of Infomedia’s office in Copenhagen with frequent travelling to Oslo.
