The position is based in Strategy & Transformation which is a department in Global IT Operations (GITO). GITO is an area with 450+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations, global service desk and digital workplace services. Strategy & Transformation is a team of 35 highly skilled and dedicated employees working to continue the agile journey to ensure an efficient delivery engine across GITO. As a department, we have a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration, just as we are embracing new ideas on how to successfully deliver and introduce new ways of working. GITO is a global organisation, therefore many of our meeting are conducted virtually and across many time zones. We offer flexible working location and hours so you can expect to be working both from home and in the office.

Let’s talk about the role
As our new Agile People Leader, you will contribute to the agile deliverables of the Strategy & Transformation team which will directly influence how the department supports Novo Nordisk’s IT abilities and digitalisation journey. You will lead approximately 12 experienced Scrum Masters who are all working day-to-day with their respective Scrum teams. Your focus will be on leading our Scrum Masters by coaching the employees and ensuring the long-term strategic competence needs of the area. You are responsible for ensuring high team engagement. You set direction and clearly communicate current and future priorities.

As our new Agile People Leader, you will report to the Head of Strategy & Transformation and be part of the Strategy and Transformation leadership team. In the role as People Leader in an agile context, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Building Agile, personal and professional competencies
  • People career development and motivation including coaching and mentoring
  • Reward and performance management
  • Facilitate cross-organisational knowledge sharing
  • Employee budgeting and support transformation initiatives, especially with a focus on cross organisational activities
  • Close collaboration with stakeholders and Agile teams and managing expectations to ensure flow of work
  • Furthermore, you will contribute to the strategic direction as well as drive the operational development of the department. You will facilitate, mobilise and involve the right stakeholders at the right level and engage with Line of Business where needed. What we scout for
    To succeed in this role, we expect you to tick most of the following:
  • An academic background in a relevant field e.g. Business, IT, Engineering or Computer Science
  • A couple of years of leadership experience from a similar role
  • Advanced knowledge and coaching skills
  • Experience supporting a transformation through personal advocacy, engagement and leadership
  • Certification or practical experience with Agile methodologies
  • On a personal level you have an inclusive mindset and have a focus on diversity. You are using your empathy to ensure a sustainable work environment, building trust, motivating teams and accelerate people development. You are fluent in written and spoken English. Join the Novo Nordisk family
