Project Manager for Medical Device Assembly Development Do you have experience as a Project Manager within medical devices, process development and/or mechanical engineering fields? Would you like to utilize your experience in the pharmaceutical industry securing that our assembly manufacturing process for new medical devices are robust and efficient? Are you eager to mature new technologies and drive the implementation of new innovative ideas and virtual development? Then this is your chance to join us as Project Manager in Device Manufacturing Development (DMD). The position The position as Project Manager is a new position in Assembly Development & Innovation team in DMD and you will be working closely with your 15 team colleagues as well as driving our collaboration/coordination with both internal and external stakeholders. The responsibility of the team is to support Novo Nordisk development of assembly manufacturing process and manufacturing equipment for new medical devices. Furthermore, our innovation projects within assembly processes are anchored and executed from this team together with stakeholders inside and outside the department. We are currently running a number of exciting projects to develop and ensure robustness in the assembly manufacturing process for new devices, which you will be part of. Besides that, we are experimenting with more agile approaches specifically within virtual manufacturing process/equipment development, Digital Twins, process verification, predictive maintenance and machine learning. Some of your main focus include:
  • Securing an efficient execution of manufacturing process development projects for our new medical devices
  • Acting as a strong player in establishing, communicating and executing the assembly innovation strategy in DMD and Product Supply Quality and IT (PSQIT)
  • Engaging actively in a journey to lift the team productivity in executing an increasing number of innovation projects for development of robust and reliable manufacturing processes
  • You can look forward to a position where your work has a high impact on DMD Assembly & Packaging innovation project execution. It will also provide you the chance to engage with a broad variety of stakeholders from production shop floor, equipment suppliers, external partners and academia. Qualifications To be considered for this position, we expect you to:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with execution of projects
  • Excel at stakeholder management and communication
  • Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree within engineering, science or any other relevant field
  • Possess experience from production environment within the mechanical engineering field
  • Have or can quickly acquire a holistic understanding of the device assembly area from product and process development to manufacturing implementation and operation at the site
  • Be fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Eventually have experience with Agile/Scrum mindset and methodologies applied in an engineering context
  • It will be considered as an advantage if you have production and/or pharmaceutical experience and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) production. As a person, you are open, positive, innovative and have the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting. You possess a can-do mindset and focus on opportunities rather than limitations. Your communication skills are excellent, and you are able to provide the right balance between leadership and management to your team. About the department Located in Hillerød, you will join a dedicated and highly competent management team in Device Manufacturing Development (DMD) and be at the crossroad between Device Research & Development, Production and our equipment suppliers. Our field of responsibility on the assembly processes covers the development of new products, the assembly process and manufacturing equipment, technologies and innovation as well as production support on critical or complex issues.
