DATA & BUSINESS ANALYST – SAS CARGO

Are you a forward-looking data savvy with genuine interest of developing PBI reports and visualize potentials to improve a business? If yes, this is the role for you!

We are now looking for a Data & Business Analyst, who will drive and facilitate our newly established BI solution and secure a best-in-class analytics environment to enable cross-functional decisions and actions. The importance of data, and using the right one, is essential and we are looking for an expert who can translate data into easy understandable Power BI reports for decision making, both on a strategic and day-to-day basis.

You will have the opportunity to interact with the whole SAS Cargo organization and learn widely about the airline and air cargo industry. You will be part of the Strategic Business Development department, who is responsible for SAS Cargo´s analytics, business development and strategy roadmap for the coming years. You will report to the Head of Strategic Business Development and work closely with SAS Cargo´s management team.

Primary areas of responsibility

• Develop and maintenance of the Power Bl solutions and other performance management tools for SAS Cargo (specific decision support tools and reports used on a daily/weekly basis by 50+ users)
• Co-lead SAS Cargo’s BI & Decisions Tools Forum to improve decisions support solutions and reporting
• Centralized/top-down SAS Cargo analysis and retrieval of relevant data (from data warehouse/NAP or other data source)
• Through data driven analyses, proactively suggest solutions to SAS Cargo organization of opportunities for further improvements and growth
• Ad-hoc reporting to SAS Cargo and Cargo Management Team (CMT) as well as other departments
• “Super user” with excellent knowledge in Power BI, DAX, Excel, SQL as well as experience working with large datasets.

Experience and Qualifications

• Higher academic education (preferably 3-year academic degree, B.Sc. or higher with engineering, computer science, economical, or mathematical orientation)
• Education and/or vast experience working in Power BI, DAX, Excel, MIS, SQL, including data-modelling.
• Experience from commercial analytics and connecting it to relevant business actions
• Experience working with large data sets
• Experience working with data, in the aviation and logistics industry is a plus.

The person should have excellent skills in:

• Specialist technical skills in Power BI, DAX, Excel, SQL
• Exceptionally strong analytical skills and numerical aptitude
• Ability to translate big data sets into actionable reports and KPIs.

• Fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages is a plus
