We offer

As our new Accountant you will support the implementation of new digital process within the Finance department. You will work closely with colleagues across MCI within Finance and Controlling, as well as many other departments. As a part of the MCI Finance & Accounting team you are based in our HQ in Tinglev and work with experienced and supportive colleagues in a global team.

Key responsibilities

As our new Accountant you will be responsible:
• to support the implementation of new digital process within the Finance department
• Assist in assessing current financial processes and identifying opportunities for automation and improvement.
• Navigate the evolving landscape of digital finance
• Implement controls and monitoring mechanisms to mitigate the risk of fraud and ensure data correctness throughout the automation process
• VAT reporting local and foreign: Reporting of VAT DK, gathering information to be send to external consultants regarding VAT in ZA and NZ, reporting of Intrastat
• Reconciliations/statistics/reports: reconciliation of sale, vendor statements and other BS accounts
• The set-up of tasks can be adjusted to meet qualifications
• Manual bookkeeping and payments will be automated over time

We are looking for

We are seeking a qualified Accountant with a strong theoretical foundation and 3-5 years of practical experience. You should have a solid grasp of accounting, administrative routines, and financial systems. An interest in digitalization and process automation is important, just as adaptability to change and new technologies. Experience with payroll accounting is preferred. Proficiency in both Danish and English is required.

You should possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines. Good communication and collaboration abilities are essential, as is a commitment to quality work. You should take ownership of your tasks and drive initiatives once established. A growth mindset and willingness to embrace the evolving landscape of digitalization are crucial. Additionally, a positive attitude and team spirit will help you succeed in this role.

In summary, we don't require you to lead the digitalization process, although experience would be a plus. We are seeking someone with a strong accounting background and a growth mindset, who is interested in digitalization and can support the implementation journey.

This position will be located in Tinglev in Denmark.
