Senior Software Consultant to help Denmark’s largest companies with digital transformation projects

København Ø

Are you our new teamm8? We’re a bunch of nerds who are passionate about solving real problems with software. Acting as trusted advisors, we help our clients with a range of challenges and produce high quality software that makes an impact to their business. If you enjoy architecting systems together on a whiteboard, writing robust and expressive code in C# or F#, or finding better ways to work together on software, you’ll feel right at home with us!

In the Custom Software team in the Digital Transformation division at itm8 we provide expert advice on software design, development, and architecture. We help Denmark’s largest companies achieve digital transformation by analyzing business challenges and building bespoke software solutions to realize their visions. We architect and build high-performance distributed systems with modern APIs, message-based communication, and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure. These services are in high demand, and we are looking for colleagues who share our passion for software and business.

About the role
As a consultant with us, your everyday life will involve the full software development process: being presented with a business challenge, coming up with an IT solution, architecting and implementing said solution and running it in production. Our projects are long and critical to our customers, so you will have plenty of opportunity to dig deep and understand the customer’s challenges and the best techniques and technologies to address it, whether that involves the development and design of a completely new system or optimization and quality assurance of existing IT systems.

Our ideal candidate would have the following professional qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Experience interacting with end customers and users
  • Experience with .NET development
  • Experience with cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code
  • Knowledge of or interest in project management
  • General good technical understanding and insight

You will be part of a team where we help each other with knowledge sharing and good fellowship – so we’re looking for these personal qualifications:

  • A skilled communicator, good at listening and building common understanding
  • A reasoned approach to decision making – you can consider the options available against the constraints of a task instead of just copy/pasting the same solution
  • Proactive – you can see problems coming and prepare to handle them
  • Structured and diligent, you have the details covered
  • Disciplined – you don’t rely on a project being exciting to be able to get things done (although we do try to find exciting projects anyway)
  • Just plain nice to hang out with – we do a lot to run social events and try to build up our team so that working together is enjoyable

If you don’t match all the criteria, but still think that you’d be an awesome member of our team – don’t hold back! To be most effective in meeting our customer’s needs we need to be adaptable to their unique needs and situations and your unique background might help us do that.

What we offer

  • Interesting and varied work, we have clients from many different industries that need software for different purposes
  • A hybrid workplace that isn’t just in name only – a lot of us work remotely for most of the week, but we group up when we want to run in person discussions or regularly on Fridays so we can keep regular contact with all our colleagues
  • Skilled and knowledgeable colleagues and the opportunity to learn and grow together
  • Opportunities for development, we want you to be the best you can be and we attend conferences, run hackathons, maintain a solid library of professional literature and are always on the look out for better ways that we can develop our skills
  • Attractive salary package
  • Offices in central Copenhagen with lunch that is actually good (Moving to new, even more central office soon!)

We have runners, video game heroes, family people, single people, Lego builders and what we all have in common: we know how to write code and have a passion for software development.

Our culture is based on our passion for development. Software development is our craft and we want to raise the bar for quality in code. When we develop, our focus is on creating good software that can last for 10-20 years. We always try to get even better, both in terms of treating customers well, in technology, in development, and in our own competencies.

If you think the above sounds exciting, then hurry up and send us an application or your CV - we are waiting for you!

Application deadline: We convene interviews on an ongoing basis. All inquiries are treated confidentially.

Start-up as soon as possible.
