We are currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced system engineer to join our team and oversee the technical management of the Copenhagen Driverless Metro system.

You will be a part of Maintenace with direct reference to the Maintenance Director. The key responsibilities in the role are:

  • Oversee technical activities to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and legislative requirements.
  • Manage the provision of engineering fault management tools, such as FRACAS and alarm trend databases, to optimize system availability.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering recording databases for subsystems and system performance management information.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall system performance.
  • Conduct internal audits and in-process checks to ensure compliance with established maintenance standards.
  • Implement effective change management processes following procedural or contractual amendments within the engineering department.
  • Maintain stringent configuration management standards.
  • Define and monitor the maintenance requirements and processes associated with the CMMS system.
  • Serve as deputy to the Maintenance Manager as needed and perform additional duties as directed.
  • Support the company’s initiatives in maintaining high safety, quality, and environmental management standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Advanced technical knowledge of systems and technology.
  • Strong background in using troubleshooting tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment to manage high workloads and respond to emergencies effectively.
  • Excellent skills in writing documentation primarily in English, and the ability to multi-task.
  • Analytical thinker capable of quick, unbiased decision-making to maintain safety, quality, and performance standards.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering, preferably in a rail or transportation environment.
  • Experience with driverless metro systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in fault management tools such as FRACAS, and alarm trend databases.
  • Strong understanding of system performance management and engineering recording databases.
  • Experience with Configuration Management Systems (CMMS) and maintenance processes.
  • Knowledge of change management processes and procedures.
