Senior project manager on green transition of the energy systems, Fredericia, Denmark

Fredericia

Are you able to facilitate the development of new solutions to accelerate the green transition? Are you motivated to improve the global environment for current and future generations?

Energinet currently has an outstanding career opportunity for a senior project manager to develop our international collaboration activities within the gas sector - as well as energy grid planning and sector coupling between energy systems. Your specialized knowledge, adept coordination, and inventive suggestions will be instrumental in catalyzing international partnerships and enhancing synergy with our internal stakeholders.

Your workplace will be at our headquarter in Fredericia.

Focus on international collaboration and stakeholder relations

Energinet shares its knowledge and experience of integrating renewable energy into energy systems with much of the world through its consultancy business, Energinet Associated Activities.

You will be part of Energinet’s international collaboration and work closely with colleagues from departments within Energinet regarding green transition of the gas sector and grid development, including hydrogen and biomethane. You are responsible for initiating new projects and ensuring effective teamwork between our technical specialists and various international collaborators.

  • You play an important, transversal role in making the collaboration and dialogue work well internally in Energinet as well as externally in relation to authorities, industry organizations, commercial actors and other transmission companies. Navigating through complex organizational structures and communicating effectively and persuasively are essential skills for this role. Your tasks will include:
  • Setting the direction for projects and keeping them on track
  • Acting as a link to authorities and other stakeholders, e.g. Danish Energy Agency and commercial actors in the field
  • Coordinating cross-cutting tasks that lie at the interface between markets, operation and long-term planning
  • Initiating cooperation across Europe and globally to share Danish experience on biomethane with other authorities and transmission system operators and responsible for portfolio of consultancy projects
  • Developing and sharing concept for Energinet’s green gas experience
  • Arranging and participating in visits from delegations and sharing Energinet knowledge
  • Initiating and facilitating collaboration

You will be part of the department “Grid Planning - Sector Coupling”, and parallelly with the international collaboration, you will take part in the department’s portfolio of tasks related to the green transformation of Denmark's energy systems with particular focus on long term planning, data as basis for Energinet’s activities, gas grid development and cross sectorial issues.

You can look forward to a job where you will contribute to the green energy transition - in an extrovert role with a focus on creating good professional relationships and finding solutions that cut across electricity, gas, hydrogen, etc.

Combining international experience and knowledge of the Danish energy sector

You have solid professional experience and insight in the Danish energy sector – e.g. from a governmental department, an energy company or a larger organisation. You are good at communicating, you understand political processes and you have a good sense of when and how it is relevant to intervene to get something through. It is also necessary that you speak and write in English and Danish, as your tasks include making decision notes and presentations as well as collaboration and dialogue with national and international stakeholders.

There are several entry points for the job, e.g. economy, political science or engineering. We emphasize process management skills, professional and personal impact and good communication skills - enabling you to see the big picture, but also understand the details when necessary.

As a person, you are characterized by good sense of occasion, a cooperative approach to tasks and good process skills - enabling you to ensure progress, complete tasks and communicate the results of complex analyses.

Do you want to make a difference with us?
