Veterinary Specialist - Germany

We’re looking for a professionally oriented and highly committed Veterinary Specialist to join the strong and well-established Danish veterinary brand, KRUUSE A/S.



THE POSITION
As Veterinary Specialist, your primary focus is to proactively create high awareness of and strong de-mand for KRUUSE products within veterinary clinics and chains in Germany, and to some extent in Austria. This will involve direct engagement with veterinary professionals to introduce and promote our comprehensive product line, ensuring that KRUUSE is the preferred choice for the vet-clinics. The mail focus will be on companion animals.

You’ll be reporting to the Export Manager for the DACH region and have close collaboration with the international organisation as well as colleagues in customer service, product management, and mar-keting at the headquarters in Denmark.

Your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Visit selected veterinary clinics regularly to promote KRUUSE products, demonstrating their benefits, provide product training and communicate the products value for the professional veterinarians.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinic staff and local decision-makers as well as with key persons in relevant chain-organizations and cooperatives.
  • Collect relevant market feedback from clinics and report this to product development and marketing to ensure the optimal range of products and marketing strategy for the German market.
  • Contribute to the continued growth and exploitation of the large market potential for KRUUSE products.
  • Participate in meeting and preferably exceeding sales targets within the assigned territory.
  • Using relevant data and insights for ongoing prioritization and segmentation of customers in close collaboration with the Export Manager.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and promotional activi-ties tailored to the responsible market(s).
  • Ensure the sales activities align with global sales objectives and company values.
  • Close cooperation with a limited number of distributors who’s handling the local sales execu-tion and after-sales support.
  • Monitoring performance at all levels and scheduling training and internal meetings as re-quired.
  • Participation in fairs and other promotion activities.

Since the distribution and sales transactions are handled by distributors, your KPIs and success criteria will primarily be focussed on efforts and actions such as customer visits, product introduction and training, courses and webinars, follow up on marketing activities etc.

THE CANDIDATE
You have a professional veterinary background and a good understanding of the veterinary industry in Germany. You are familiar with the "rules of the game" in the clinics and are accustomed to achiev-ing results by actively using your knowledge and experience.

You have commercial acumen and the ability to gain strong understanding of the market and prod-ucts, allowing you to prioritize your efforts and activities based on considerations of profitability, market conditions and customer potential.

Specifically, we expect you to have:

  • Experience in sales/marketing/service in the veterinary or medical field.
  • A professional background as a veterinarian, veterinary nurse, or similar from the human sec-tor - preferably combined with some years of experience from a clinic or vet-hospital.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a drive to achieve results.
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Fluent in English and German is mandatory. Other langue skills a are beneficial.
  • Experienced with MS Office applications – able to make presentation assembling and report-ing on various data in Excel.
  • A full clean driver license.

SALARY & CONDITIONS
Competitive package with base salary, pension, car, internet, phone.
Remote work from home office when not travelling.
Varying working hours must be expected.
Travel days per year maximum 120.
