The position In Product Supply Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (PS API) Expansion we are planning to expand our production facilities in Hillerød, Denmark, to meet the future needs of our growing product pipeline. Our department is looking for an Automation Engineer working in a project team developing and maintaining software and interfaces for our future Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) production together with other experienced engineers. You will be involved in taking part in the Project Implementation Team developing interfaces to equipment software Your main responsibilities will be: ▪ Developing and reviewing interface agreements ▪ Supporting the data mapping process, ensuring relevant data are transferred to other central IT applications ▪ Understanding the API production processes and ensuring uptime and reliability of equipment ▪ Maintaining and updating equipment software and interfaces ▪ Development of the data-driven architecture in close collaboration with data architects, the process responsible etc.
Qualifications To succeed in the role, you:
  • Hold an academic degree within engineering, IT or automation
  • Have relevant experience or you are a recent graduate with a strong interest in production PCS Systems
  • Preferably, have prior experience with the integration, operation, maintenance, and modifications of IT/PLC/PCS systems
  • The ability to fluently communicate in English.
  • Additionally, we hope that you can tick off most of the following:
  • Siemens Production Management (PM) & Siemens WinCC Unified
  • Experience with validation/qualification
  • Knowledge of PLC systems and industrial communications
  • Specific knowledge about Siemens PLC solutions and interfaces
  • Previous work experience in a complex GMP environment

About the department Our team is part of the PS API Expansion Denmark Area located in Gentofte, Hillerød and Kalundborg. This is where the active ingredients, going into all our life-saving biotech products, are made by app. 500 committed colleagues. We manufacture through complex chemical and biotechnological processes (this includes cultivation, recovery, purification, and freeze-drying), which requires a high level of expertise, commitment, and engagement from our employees.
