Saxo is looking for a Network & Market Relationship Manager to join a growing team in Copenhagen on a temporary contract of 18 months.

About the Job

Our Network and Market Relationship Management team is responsible for managing Saxo’s external providers, that deliver critical market, settlement and banking access. The team currently consists of 4 employees, across Europe, whose mandate is to ensure resilience and efficiency across the Banks Network of Prime Brokers, Exchanges, CCP’s, CSD/ICSD and Sub-custodians. In this role you will get wide and deep exposure to the full value-chain of financial markets across a variety of asset classes such as equities, futures, options, bonds etc.

We are looking for a driven, independent and ambitious colleague to join the team. As a member of the team you will be immersed in a dynamic environment where you will engage with counterparts and stakeholders internally/externally and work alongside highly passionate Saxo professionals.

The desk, located at our beautiful Headquarters in Copenhagen, with colleagues also located in London, is a dynamic group where you will quickly find yourself immersed in the many aspects of relationship management. The role is based in Copenhagen, but you will be working virtually with colleagues on a global basis.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with product and project teams to develop and enhance our external set-ups and structures

  • Excute on Saxo's relationship and resiliency strategy through issuance of RFP’s and the assessment of new providers.

  • Provide value to both external and internal clients through market experience and delivery of market information

  • Active contact with external counterparts, including contract and pricing negotiations, due diligence, review meetings, ensuring delivery on service levels, and acting as an escalation point for any issues arising with counterpart relationships.


Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master within the area of finance, economics or business with outstanding achievements

  • English proficiency written and verbal is a must

  • Good market knowledge (including an understanding of the local market operation and regulation as they relate to the services being provided)

  • 2+ years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.

  • Ability to work well, both individually, and as part of a team

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders

  • Interest in the financial markets, processes and optimization

  • Excel capabilities is a must. Knowledge of Power BI and Power Point is an advantage

  • Thrive within a fast paced environment

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise

  • High personal drive and ambition that helps you keep pace and motivate others to achieve the desired targets

  • Willingness to conduct overseas travel on request
