In this role, you will be the main responsible for the license management of the most complex and wide-spanning business applications in [xxxxx] Global IT, such as MS Dynamics 365 FO, Salesforce, and Adobe.

Strategic and operational role with high impact

You will be a part of the IT Management Office team. However, you will also work closely with stakeholders across the business to effectively ensure the license lifecycle of the business applications - from procurement and deployment to monitoring and renewal.

You will be the go-to person for all license related matters for the IT applications you cover, and you will provide guidance and advice to the business and IT stakeholders on the best practices and policies for license management. You will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with the license agreements and regulations, and for reporting and auditing the license usage and inventory.

Additionally, you will drive cost optimization initiatives and negotiate with vendors and partners to achieve the best possible outcomes for the business. You will analyze the license consumption and demand and identify opportunities for savings and value creation. Finally, you will also keep yourself updated on the latest trends and developments in the license market and the business applications.

To sum up, you can look forward to taking on the following responsibilities:

  • Being a single-point of contact for the major cross-functional business applications
  • Maintaining an overview of the licenses – both in use and “in stock”
  • Monitoring the usage of the licenses
  • Identifying opportunities for cost avoidance or cost optimizations
  • Reporting on license development and providing relevant data for decision-making
  • Ensure license compliancy as trusted advisor
  • Take part in negotiations when relevant and support license purchases


Your qualifications

We expect that you have a solid background and experience in IT license management, especially with the business applications mentioned above. Working with Software Asset Management could also be part of the role if you possess knowledge and experience in this area.

You have a clear understanding of the license models, terms and conditions, and compliance requirements of different vendors and platforms. You have extensive analytical and problem-solving skills, and you can work with data and tools to monitor and report on the license performance and status.

You are a confident and effective communicator, who can present and explain complex information in a clear and concise way. You can build and maintain positive relationships with various internal and external stakeholders and partners, and you can influence and negotiate to achieve win-win situations. You are committed and self-motivated, and you can oversee multiple tasks and projects.

Finally, you have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree, probably within IT, business or finance.

You will be part of our IT Management Office team, where we are supporting the Global IT Leadership Team in various ways. Besides license management, our key areas are Executive Support, Strategy and Operating Model, IT Finance and Analytics, Vendor and Contract Management, and Project- and Portfolio Management. You will report to the Senior Director of the IT Management Office and collaborate closely with the Global IT Application Managers and the IT Procurement team. In Global IT we are around 600 people. You will be based at our corporate headquarters in Smørum in the outskirts of Copenhagen.
