Your Responsibilities:

At Jorgensen Engineering, we are pioneers in delivering advanced solutions that shape industries worldwide. As the Head of Projects, you will play a pivotal role in managing a team of +15 Project Managers and Automation Project Leads, and shaping and executing our strategic vision. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be at the forefront of planning, executing, and delivering projects of varying scales and complexities. From individual machines to intricate turnkey systems, you will drive seamless project realization from order intake to Site Acceptance Test (SAT) and client handover.

In this impactful role, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and align project management strategies with the overall organizational goals.
  • Project Initiation: Contribute to defining project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Create project charters and gain stakeholder approval.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources, including personnel and budget, to ensure project success.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage project management teams, fostering collaboration and motivation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Communication Management: Establish effective communication channels with stakeholders and team members.
  • Quality Assurance: Define and enforce quality standards for project deliverables.
  • Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and expenses, ensuring financial adherence.
  • Change Management: Handle changes to project scope and requirements, managing expectations effectively.
  • Performance Evaluation: Monitor project performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing project management processes.
  • Vendor and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with external partners and maintain positive relationships.
  • Mentoring and Development: Mentor and develop a dedicated pool of +15 Project Managers and Automation Project Leads.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure alignment of project management practices with organizational goals.

Your Profile and Qualifications:

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A background as a mechanical engineer, mechanical supervisor, or a related technical field, preferably within a similar industry.
  • A proven track record in project management, particularly in handling intricate robotic technologies.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to manage and develop project teams effectively.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, showcasing excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (negotiation level).

In-depth mechanical knowledge and expertise are imperative for this role, as you will be required to comprehend intricate mechanical solutions and collaborate with project managers on technical issues and resolutions. Additionally, possessing collaboration skills/relationship-building abilities across the company is crucial for success in this role.
