As Associate Project Director you will be exposed to a broad set of topics that is high on the strategic agenda in the Data Science organisation. One of the key topics that will be part of the position is to establish a strategic roadmap of our infrastructure data review model activities but will go beyond this into how this will be incorporated to our digital programs. Your success criteria will include to ensure a strong strategic direction across the activities that is well communicated with both senior stakeholders as well as stakeholders applying the techniques on a daily basis. Further you will drive the cross-functional collaboration to help set the agenda together with other EVP-/ SVP-areas allowing for a coherent strategy.
As our new Associate Project Director, you will be part of establishing our data review program that will span across multiple functions in both Data Science and beyond to create a cohesive approach to our data across the value chain. You are responsible for program vision, roadmap, and to identify and prioritise the relevant use cases. This is to be done in very close collaboration with the product owners, functional SMEs and rest of the program leadership team. On top you need to secure close alignment on priorities and dependencies across the Agile Release Trains within [xxxxx] Development. Your responsibilities:
  • Identify current focus of our ongoing data review efforts across DS and Development.
  • Be part of setting the strategic direction of the how we leverage AI to ensure high quality data and be part of structuring the ongoing activities as a well-organised program.
  • Align stakeholders, line of business, finance, and global IT, to ensure an end to end thinking that optimise the NN value chain and the correct inputs and insights.
  • Other adjacent activities, such as identifying key value-levers and enable value tracking
  • Build a culture within the team, characterized by curiosity, passion, openness, and psychological safety.
  • In this role, collaboration is key – both with the line of business, digital transformation team, digital product teams, finance and global IT - to lead Novo Nordisk Development in an untied direction.
    Qualifications : To be a successful Associate Project Director, the following qualifications are required:
  • You hold a university degree within science, engineering and/or business.
  • You have significant experience in management consulting and/or digital product management.
  • You bring a strong understanding of product development and the linkage between discovery, testing, and development. 3+ year experience in Agile methodologies is preferred.
  • You have proven creative functional leadership experience of driving changes in cross-functional, multi-cultural and cross-geographical environment. You inspire passion and create a feeling of ownership for people you work with.
  • You are able to set clear direction, prioritise and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency on all levels of the organisation.

Data Science is an area within Development, responsible for managing clinical drug development worldwide, from early development phases to product introduction and life cycle management. In Data Science our focus is to deliver data and data insights through advanced analytics to support new drug submission. In Data Science, Strategic Projects, we coordinate the strategy and deliver on the strategic projects in the Data Science organisation.
