What you will be doing
As a Maternity Cover for Global Vendor Manager, your role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities within Novo Nordisk's Digital and IT (DD&IT) department. You will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with IT vendors globally, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy. Collaborating closely with internal teams and stakeholders, you will facilitate effective vendor management, contract negotiations, and operational oversight, contributing significantly to the company's IT project coordination and stakeholder engagement.
Your involvement will span across various areas, from representing [xxxxx] in external forums and working groups to teaching and publishing articles on behalf of the organization. Additionally, you will be responsible for assuring service quality, guiding stakeholders on IT guidelines and best practices, and driving process improvement. We aim to hire candidate for this position, with expected start on 1 September 2024, with an expected end date around 1 September 2025. Your main accountabilities will include:
  • Ensuring vendor alignment with business objectives and IT strategy by conducting regular performance reviews and fostering collaboration between internal teams and vendors

  • Contract negotiations with IT vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and collaborating with legal and procurement teams

  • Ensuring operational efficiency by monitoring vendor performance against metrics and KPIs,

  • Implementing corrective actions, conducting audits to enforce IT standards, and delivering regular performance reports to stakeholders.

  • Fostering strong relationships and effective communication


  • What qualifications you should bring?
  • Degree in related field and at least 3 years of experience in IT vendor management, or a similar role, managing global vendor relationships and contracts

  • Experience in the field of IT preferably around topics such as service management, service delivery, change/risk/ operational vendor management etc.

  • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile methodologies and ITIL (preferably supported by certifications)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Familiarity with IT project management principles and methodologies

    You will join as part of our Nordics Team within Global IT Operations Service Desk and Support (GITO SDITS). The team’s job areas are within IT on-site support, AV support, asset management in DK as well as the IT global vendor management.
    We are a virtual team consisting of 19 colleagues located in various sites across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway, collaborating daily via MS Teams. We base our team’s values on trust, collaboration, and knowledge sharing. We are a dynamic team and due to our different backgrounds, skillsets, and responsibilities, we bring a diverse competence pool to the table, which we often use to give different perspectives on our performance and tasks.
