As a Data Steward at [xxxxx], you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Support and maintain a comprehensive Data Governance strategy for the different areas within RQ&C, with a primary focus on the Regulatory organisation.
  • Define and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements and digital transformation goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-related risks and opportunities and develop solutions to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities, ensuring alignment with digital transformation efforts.
  • Develop and maintain a data inventory and data lineage to ensure transparency and traceability of data across the organization, facilitating data-driven decision making.
  • Lead the development and implementation of data quality metrics and data quality improvement plans, ensuring data-driven decision making is supported by high-quality data.
  • Ensure data governance is embedded in all relevant processes and systems, ensuring alignment with digital transformation efforts and driving data-driven decision making.
  • Qualifications
  • A competitive candidate should have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data governance programs in a large organization.
  • Experience in the pharma or life sciences industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Veeva Vault RIM is a plus.
  • It is required to have deep knowledge of regulatory and pharmacovigilance processes and requirements as well as strong understanding of data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. On a personal level you naturally generate energy and direction among your colleagues, also during periods with tight deadlines. You have a high level of drive and result-orientation, you are curious and innovative by nature and like to be challenged. You thrive in agile and matrix set-up’s and are comfortable interacting with stakeholders at different organisational levels. Finally, you are fluent in English, both written and spoken. About the department
    Digital Transformation is a department placed in RQ&C: RQ&C consists of the four functional areas: Regulatory Affairs (approvals by health authorities), R&D Quality (ensuring quality and compliance), Clinical Reporting (medical writing) and Digital Transformation (driving the Digital agenda). Furthermore are our department also supporting the Global Safety area (patient safety and handling of adverse events). Digital Transformation drives change within the RQ&C organisation to optimise and digitalise within and across the five areas. We collaborate with internal and external partners regarding projects within the fields of IT & Automation, Process Optimisation, and Data Analytics and Business Intelligence.
