The position
As a Market Access Director, you will be responsible for developing and driving strategy for the next diabetes product launches. You will lead pipeline development for specific assets, where you will drive global market access insights and strategy, spearhead strategic initiatives for pipeline and LCM activities, and direct external payer engagement activities to inform and drive our approaches. Additionally, you will identify payer environment trends and their implications for access strategies within Diabetes. You will also:
  • Lead the strategic planning for market access and value strategy for pipeline products.
  • Act as the informal leader for a cross-functional matrix team encompassing HEOR, RWE, and Pricing.
  • Drive market landscaping and shaping initiatives to understand future payer environments and evolving market access ecosystems.
  • Establish a clear direction to secure access for future Diabetes assets.
  • Spearhead the development of innovative tools and techniques for effectively defining and communicating product value to payers.
  • Collaborate with global functions across the value chain, engaging proactively with the broader network of market access stakeholders in Operations to deliver best-in-class Global Access and Payer engagement strategies throughout the lifecycle.

  • Qualifications
    To be successful in this position, we require:
  • 8+ years’ strategic and operational experience from both global and affiliate market access roles.
  • Comprehensive market access experience either from a pharmaceutical industry and/or a consultancy company.
  • A high degree of business and commercial insight, and solid experience with setting the direction and the strategy for your area.
  • Excellent strategy, project and stakeholder management skills.
  • An academic background in a relevant field (life sciences, economics, public health science, or similar).
  • Fluency in English.
  • As a person, you will have a strong strategic mindset, be an excellent communicator, have strong commercial understanding, and a high degree of ambition and personal drive. It comes naturally for you to identify new and innovative approaches when driving projects and deliverables related to our assets.

    The Diabetes Market Access department within [xxxxx] is part of the Diabetes Franchise and drives the Global market access strategies for our Diabetes portfolio. The department drives market access strategy for the Diabetes Therapeutic Area including therapy area strategic input and pipeline planning to brand responsibilities and driving market access pre-launch and launch activities in close collaboration with regions and affiliates.
