The position
The Development Portfolio Insights and Analysis team is looking for an enthusiastic colleague to lead strategic frameworks and projects towards senior management.
As a Portfolio Associate Director, you will be expected to independently drive and execute strategic frameworks and projects as well as formulate recommendations for the team. You are the perfect candidate if you show stellar strategic problem-solving, strong stakeholder management both up and downwards, and can build on a rich experience in driving complex projects in large organisations.
This role requires a combination of stakeholder management, strategic mindset, and problem-solving skills to support various strategic portfolio deliverables.
Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
• Lead and drive the update of our project prioritization framework together with your manager and senior stakeholders in the organisation
• Drive various strategic initiatives coming from the organization and align with the team’s goals and ambitions
• Identify new initiatives that strengthen the development portfolio teams' collaboration across the organisation
• Discover opportunities, industry trends, and insights and provide portfolio analysis using proven subject matter or portfolio management expertise Qualifications To succeed in the role, you have:
• Master of Science in Economics, Life Science, or similar.
• At least 7 years of relevant job experience in a portfolio management or strategic position within the pharmaceutical industry, large corporate, or consulting
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills and experience in driving strategic projects in complex business areas on behalf of senior management
• Experience in portfolio analysis in a pharmaceutical context is a plus You embrace diverse responsibilities and skill sets, serving as a role model and demonstrating inclusive and inquisitive behavior. The Development EVP area is responsible for driving innovative clinical drug development and regulatory affairs worldwide from phase 2 to product introduction and through life cycle management. Development Portfolio Insights & Analysis is responsible for facilitating portfolio discussions at our two governance boards (with members across NN at EVP and SVP level) and for providing portfolio perspectives ensuring solid governance prioritization and decision making. The team is also responsible for the coordination of R&D risk reporting across therapy areas and portfolio analytics to BoD (Board of Directors).
