What you will be doing
As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will be playing a crucial role in bridging the gap between R&ED (Research & Early Development) business needs and IT solutions. The primary responsibility of this role is to understand and analyse business needs related to data storage and data availability in a multi-cloud landscape, both from laboratory settings and for data scientists. Additionally, the role requires a deep understanding of industry challenges, data regulations, and foundational IT infrastructure. entrusted with the critical task of ensuring that IT solutions are not only aligned with business needs but also contribute to the organization's overall success. Your responsibilities include: Conducting requirements gathering and defining scope and objectives for new and existing solutions and business processes
Researching business requirements and documenting relationships within the research data landscape
Defining policies for hierarchical storage management of research data
Translating business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with the team, ensuring successful IT solution rollouts
Initiating and maintaining cross-team collaboration to standardize best practices and find optimal solutions for global collaboration
What qualifications you should bring?
To be successful in this role we expect you to have: Experience working in cross-functional teams, including collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge of HSM (Hierarchical Storage Management) concepts and lifecycle management
Ability to produce clear and comprehensive documentation, reports, and user guides with awareness of data security, privacy laws, and compliance requirements relevant to data storage and management.
Experience with business continuity planning and high availability strategies supported by agile & global mindset
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex infrastructure challenges, supported by familiarity with multi-cloud strategies and cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
As a person you are analytical and open minded, ready to challenge status quo. You can work independently and seek guidance when relevant, and while being a collaborative team player, you do not shy away from taking initiative and responsibility.

You will be working in an agile team consisting of four senior and lead engineers specialising in IT infrastructure on-premise and in the cloud, an IT infrastructure manager, a product owner, and a scrum master. We work in a scaled agile setup, and we closely collaborate with many other teams in research and IT. We work hybrid from home and from the office in Måløv with minimum 50 % attendance in office and fix hours 9-15. The team comes to the office as a minimum Tuesdays and Thursdays to sit together. Research and Early Development IT (R&ED IT) is a unit in Digital, Data, and IT that provides IT solutions when new treatments are discovered, and molecules are being developed. We are the IT partner of Research and Early Development. Our responsibility is to leverage new technology and digitalization and offer a sustainable IT infrastructure needed to bring forward all the work done through important research. To highlight what we do, we build IT solutions to help capture data, provide a cloud foundation to manage the data and do advanced analytics with high-performance computing. With us in R&ED IT, you will step into a sweet spot between IT and research and be part of the first step in the process, from research to the patient. Our area counts +120 engaged employees that span Denmark, India, the US, the UK, and China. We are on a growth journey with and expect our unit to grow accordingly.
