Let’s talk about the role
As our Azure Product Owner your main focus is to ensure that Azure as a platform is ready and aligned with the future needs of [xxxxx]. The aim is to enable our research sites, our offices, and our production sites to develop, test, operate and manage cloud solutions in Azure Cloud in the leanest, automated, and most stable manor.
Your key responsibilities are:
  • Co-create vision and roadmap: Together with your product team and Product Manager you create the vision and roadmap and communicate to the relevant stakeholders.
  • Represent the customer: You need to understand the current and future needs of our business areas, and bring forward their perspectives to your product team, to ensure their needs are met by our deliverables along with the timeline.
  • Stakeholder management: You need know your stakeholders, build strong relations, and ensure a proactive and professional dialogue to understand new needs, changing requirements as well as inspire the business to utilize your products and services together with our Cloud Centre of Excellence.
  • Prioritize backlog and accept stories: You build, own, share and prioritize the backlog and are comfortable to make difficult decisions when needed. Together with the scrum master you have a leading role in events such as PI-planning, Demos / Retrospective, and Back-log refinement.
  • Approve and reject deliverables: You are ultimately accountable for the quality of the Azure Platform as a product and the deliverables from your team covering both development/modernization as well as the stable, secure and compliant operations.
  • The Azure Platform team consist of 13 people covering a scrum master, senior cloud architects, cloud engineers, cloud developers and operations professionals. The product team is responsible for designing and building Azure landing zones at global enterprise level with a multi-subscription Azure environment that accounts for scale, security, templating, governance, compliance, networking, and identity. The team governs the Azure platform in NN, performing tasks such as provisioning Azure subscriptions, enforcing service security requirements, creating compliance tests and deploying and managing shared infrastructure. The team collaborates closely with our colleagues from Global Information Security, to continually improve the security posture and compliance of all Azure workloads.
    What we scout for
  • Academic degree at bachelor level or above within business administration, IT or similar and 3+ years of experience working with cloud
  • Hands on experience with Product Ownership – defining, scoping, strategizing, and breaking down complex needs to distinct products - either from a product owner role or similar, in preferably global enterprise company
  • Several years of experience with implementation of Cloud services and Azure Platform at consumer level
  • You can understand and map business needs and transform these to features and technical deliverables in an inspiring way to your product team.
  • You have experience with Agile methodologies and tools and are familiar with the concepts of Scrum, Kanban, Prioritization etc. A product Owner certification is a benefit but not a requirement.
  • As a person you have a strong passion for creating results and find it natural to take a leading role with aim to stay ahead on industry trends and are curious toward new services and technologies. You can set direction and communicate a compelling purpose and vision with passion and urgency on all levels of the organisation.     The position is based in Cloud and Corporate Infrastructure (C&CI), part of Global IT Operations. In C&CI we have successfully established an effective, secure, and compliant cloud infrastructure, running on both AWS and Azure. We have a combined strategic focus on enabling innovation while ensuring stable operations. In our Cloud Product area, you become 1 out 7 Product Owners all working with different aspects of Cloud from Platforms to IAM with whom you will collaborate and align with together with our Cloud Product Manager.
