The position As a Cost Controller, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling project costs to ensure that they are within budget and meet financial objectives. They will work closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to track costs, analyse variances, and develop forecasts. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Developing and implementing cost control procedures to ensure that project costs are tracked and monitored effectively
  • Financial partnering to Project Director and Work Package Owners
  • Establishing and maintaining project budgets on equipment cost, engineering cost and owners cost
  • Monitoring project costs and analysing variances to identify areas of over/under spending, specifically related to committed equipment cost, actual engineering cost and actual owners cost
  • Preparing data input for monthly cost reporting to site projects
  • Qualifications To be successful in this position, we expect you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in cost analysis and forecasting
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and practices
  • Knowledge of cost control best practices and standards
  • Experience in a specific industry, such as construction or manufacturing
  • On a personal level, you are highly organized and possess strong attention to detail and analytical thinking. You have excellent communication skills that enable you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. Furthermore, you are able to work independently and as part of a team.
